Dave Eckert attended Huntington High School, Huntington, Long Island, New York. He was a member of the Varsity Men's Lacrosse team and was elected by the Suffolk County Coaches Association to the First Team All-County Men's Lacrosse Squad and the First Team All-League Men's Lacrosse Squad. Upon Graduation, he attended Geneseo State University in Geneseo, New York studying both Business Administration and Economics. While at Geneseo, he was a member of the men's lacrosse team that won the SUNYAC Championship Title. He was also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon National Fraternity. He then transferred to RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) in Rochester, New York majoring in Packaging Engineering with a minor in Business Administration. He was also a member of the Men's Lacrosse team that made it to the NCAA Division III National Championships, making as far as the Semi-Final Round. RIT's Men's Lacrosse team won the East Coast Athletic Conference and the Empire 8 Conference both years.
Upon completing his undergraduate studies, he took a position with American Heritage Securities as a Registered Representative obtaining his Series 7 and Series 63 Licenses. Within four years Mr. Eckert joined Leardon, Daly, Brown and Associates on Wall Street as a partner and focused on Investment Banking and Private Placements. Having successfully completing the first round of funding for the privately held Medipak Corp., he was offer an Exec. VP position with the company and transferred to New Rochelle, New York concentrating on expanding the company and raising more capital through a public offering. Ultimately the company began trading publically on the NASDAQ and within a few years was eventually acquired.
Mr. Eckert then moved back to Rochester, New York and began work for Metropolitan Insurance as a Property and Casualty Specialist. He was promoted after achieving the National Sales Conference Award and appointed to the National Property and Casualty Council for his achievements in both production and loss control. Several years later he left to pursue commercial accounts and began to specialize in Construction and Commercial Real Estate insurance.
Several years later he was hired as the Director of Northeast Hotel Operations for Znet Insurance Group to manage insurance programs for the 494 franchises in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Ohio and Massachusetts Znet was acquired in 2005 by HRH. Mr. Eckert began working as an independent commercial mortgage broker and in March of 2009 formed KP Funding Associates with Keith Schubmehl and by early 2010 began specializing in financing the Healthcare and Hospitality markets in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Keith's career has focused on commercial real estate, including bank lending and real estate and mortgage brokerage. Since receiving his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Syracuse University, he has:
- Successfully created commercial mortgage origination departments at four banks.
- Operated as a self-employed contractor originating commercial mortgages and construction loans for submission to financial institutions.
- Provided consulting and support services to real estate developers and lenders.
- Developed a new commercial mortgage department in two states for one bank, and expanded a commercial real estate department in five states for two banks.
- Provided interim management services for the Federal Government.
In 1986, Keith founded Keith A. Schubmehl Real Estate Corp., Pittsford, New York. He operated this company originating commercial real estate mortgages for submission to financial institutions, selling and leasing commercial real estate, and providing construction loan services.
- Financed and sold commercial real estate valued in excess of $100,000,000.
- Expanded the company to be a full service and highly respected provider of services to real estate developers and lenders.
- Developed loan packages with credit review for lenders.
- Provided on-site inspection services of construction projects.
- Provided interim management services for the Federal Government.
From 1992 to 1993, Keith served as Adjunct Consultant to Resolution Trust Corporation in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Vice President Commercial Lending for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Rochester, Rochester, New York
From 1998 through 2001, Mr. Schubmehl served as Vice President, Commercial Real Estate for Charter One Bank in Rochester, New York. As Vice President, managed the commercial real estate department and was responsible for the origination of, approval of and closing of commercial real estate mortgages, including permanent mortgages and disbursement of construction loans.
- Increased loan closings from zero to $30,000,000 the first year to over $160,000,000.
- Exceeded annual goal every year.
- Expanded from one office and one loan officer to five offices and six loan officers.
- Improved bank income concentrating on short term construction lending.
- Loan portfolio was composed of high quality and profitable assets.
In March of 2002, he joined Partners Trust Bank, Syracuse, New York (Formerly) BSB Bank & Trust in Binghamton, New York. He began this position as Administrative Vice President, Commercial Real Estate for 2 years before being promoted to the position of Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager, a position he held from July of 2004 through December of 2004.
As Vice President, managed the commercial real estate department and was responsible for the maintenance of the portfolio including risk ratings, past due and matured loans, the origination of, approval of and closing of permanent commercial real estate mortgages and construction loan disbursements. Subsequent to a merger, managed a $78MM portfolio and originated new commercial mortgages.
- Increased loan fundings from near zero in 2002 to over $92,000,000 in 2003.
- Improved bank income with short term construction lending.
- Lowered the number of past due and matured loans to zero.
- Lowered the Risk Rating of the commercial real estate portfolio.
- Realigned department staff for increased proficiency.
- New loan portfolio composed of high quality and profitable assets.
During the 2005 - 2006 period, Keith originated commercial mortgages for both the Wilber National Bank, Syracuse, New York and Grand Pacific, Pittsford, New York May, 2005
From November 2006 through February 2009, Keith served as Vice President, Commercial Real Estate for The Upstate National Bank, Rochester, New York. In this position, he created a secondary market department, originating fee income for the bank. He originated new commercial real estate mortgages for the bank through both direct origination and purchasing participations, and managed the three largest problem commercial real estate loans in the bank.
- Originated $191,000 in fee income in six months for the bank.
- Met origination goals every year by second quarter.
- All bank assets were protected with proper problem loan oversight.
